Betty Botter!!!!

The kids all did great with the tongue twister,  “Betty Botter”!

Isabella rattled off an impressive 8.67 seconds!THAT IS  FASSSST!!!! Tabitha Knocked off 25 seconds from her original time. Lucas and Erin and Aaron all posted incredible times as well.

In math we worked on Volume this week. Students did a really good job with manipulatives and the formula. Fact fluency slowed some of the students down a little bit. That is a great thing for you to work on at home with your kid.

In Social Studies we read a book about the discovery of the New World from the Native Americans perspective. We also looked at how early settlements where set up.

Writing was a blast this week, we really tried to put details into the best stories we can write!

Today we partnered with Ms. Carney’s class again. Student worked on designing a golf club out of Knex pieces. They had a blast. We will be testing them some more on Monday.

Have a great weekend.

Back In The Swing Of Things!

We are really off to a great start. Kids worked on many team building activities together and did a wonderful job.

In Math we played some place value games and started working on Cribbage Rules. You can ask your kiddos to play the games at home, all you would need is a deck of playing cards. Our math exploration this week took us to Aunt Sally’s house!!! You can ask your child to explain that one. We also started working on Area.

Writing time was a balance of having a little fun with words and working on generating ideas for personal narratives.

Our “maker” time or design technology had us building rockets last week. This week we explored marbles and ramps with Carney’s Crew.
